1957年、ミラノ郊外のPARABIAGO(パラビアーゴ)でファクトリーを開設する。自分達のものつくりを表現したいという思いから10年後の1967年に自分達のブランドSPELTA（スペルタ）を誕生させる、80年代前半Goodyear製法によるスティッチングを活かしたバレリーナシューズを完成させ、その履き心地の良さからミラノで一世風靡を遂げる。80年代から90年代にかけてその製法を活かし、様々なレディースシューズを展開するようになった。そのデザインはもともとのクラシック感を残しながらも自分達が表現したい独自性を兼ねるデザインに仕上がっている。SPELTAは作品を作る上で一番心がけていることはお客様の声である。その声を大事にすることで少しずつ時代に合ったお客様が満足してもらえるような作品を作り続けている。”BALLERINA IN CITTA”と呼ばれ、ミラノのイタリア人バレリーナダンサー達の休日のバレエシューズとしても愛用されている。

The factory opened in PARABIAGO, a town located in the outskirts of Milan in 1957. The brand SPELTA was born after ten years in 1967 from wanting to express its own manufacturing. They made ballet shoes using the Goodyear welt process in the early 80’s, which then became a great hit in Milan due to its comfort. From the 80’s to the 90’s, the method was utilized to make various women’s shoes. These designs resulted in shoes that retain their original classic design but also have unique characteristics that they want to express. The brand SPELTA places emphasis on the customers’ voices. By listening carefully to them, SPELTA continues to manufacture shoes that adapt to the time as well as satisfy customer’s needs.In recent years, the shoes are called “BALLERINA IN CITTA” by Italian ballet dancers and they love the shoes a lot.
